'Chainsaw Man' manga series wins Kono Manga ga Sugoi's 2021 Ranking in the Male Demographic Category

Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man manga series was hailed as the Best Manga in the Male Demographic category by Kono Manga ga Sugoi's 2021 Ranking. This was revealed through a page shot of the Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi magazine posted by the Twitter account of Shounen JUMP News - Unofficial on Wednesday.

The annual reference mook series "Kono Manga ga Sugoi!" magazine published by Takarajimasha since 2005 features yearly rankings and reviews of the different manga. The rankings are compiled by surveying people in the manga and publishing industry.
The action-horror fiction and dark fantasy manga series "Chainsaw Man" written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since December 2018. Its chapters have been collected in nine tankōbon volumes as of November 2020. It is also published by Shueisha on the Manga Plus online platform.
As of October 2020, the manga had over 4.2 million copies in circulation. Chainsaw Man has been overall well received by critics, who have highlighted its storytelling, violent scenes and dark humor.
