The film will premiere in Japan this coming October 16, but with several challenges ODEX is facing for the film to screen outside Japan particularly in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, Indonesia and Vietnam, the company stated that the general public release for SEA is now planned to be around January to February of next year.

MD Go stated that the reason for the delay far from the usual 3-4 weeks gap between Japan release and overseas release, is that there are already scheduled international/Hollywood films in each respective countries for release resulting to unavailability of space in cinemas for the rest of the year.
He added that at the same time, ODEX is planning for a same day release with Japan for the fans screening but there are no guarantees. For them, it is very challenging to work on it as there are many circumstances that are beyond their control and the typical preparation for an overseas release is 4-6 weeks. MD Go enumerated the challenges that cause delay which includes working on the subtitles, DCP (digital cinema package) authoring, cinema screen test, and clearing the censorship that may took around 2-5 weeks depending on the country.
In addition, MD Go said that they need the materials from Japan at least one to two month before Japan's premiere in other for them to release a 'same day as Japan' fans screening which is very hard for them since Japan's production are tight and any delays have revert effect to their plans.
MD Go reiterated that they have no other choice but to push back the fans screening schedule once there are delays and there will be no 'same day as Japan' release, yet it will be 1 to 2 weeks after with no guarantees so whatever.
With regards to the fans screening, ODEX plans to have two types ot it; an October fans screening with the usual shirt and novelty items and the other January/February fans screening with Japan imported novelties. The prices for the tickets will not be that far from the ticket prices of the ongoing 'Fate/stay Night: Heaven's Feel III. Spring Song' screening as stated.
Finally, ODEX expressed their appreciation to all the fans who are continuously supporting the films they are licensing and asks for everyone's cooperation for the next films that they are planning to release.
