Half-Filipino Japanese actor Alan Shirahama to play lead role in a new romance-drama live-action film "10 Manbun no 1"

Alan Shirahama (27), a half-Filipino, half-Japanese performer, actor and DJ known to many as a member of 'Exile' and also the leader of the Japanese all-male dance and music group 'Generations from Exile Tribe' will be playing a protagonist role in an upcoming school romance-drama live-action film "1/100000 - 10manbun no 1 (juumanbun no ichi)".

The film is an adaptation of Kaho Miyasaka manga series of the same title. It is slated to premiere in theaters on November 27 in Japan. The film revolves in the story of Rino Sakuragi and Ren Kiritani who fell in love but was later devasted upon knowing that Rino is diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Alan Shirahama will play the role of Kiritani Ren and Taira Yuna as Rino Sakuragi.

Shirahama was born on August 4, 1993 to a Filipino mother and a Japanese father. He has a younger brother and an elder sister, Loveli, who is a fashion model and television personality. In 2008, he started attending Matsuyama's EXPG (Exile Professional Gym) that took forward on his career.

In April 2010, Shirahama became a member of Gekidan EXILE (Exile Theatrical company) which he withdrew from after getting selected as Generations' candidate member in July 2011 and a year later became an official member of the group after graduating from Hinode High School in 2012.

His first acting lead role was in NTV's drama Sugarless starring Gaku Shiiba which theme song "Brave it out" was chosen as Generations' major debut song and by January 2014, Hiro appointed Shirahama to be the leader of Generations. On April 2014, Shirahama was one of five people who passed the final audition to join Exile as performers, making him currently member of both Exile and Generations.

He also played different roles in movies, drama series, and stageplays including "GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka" as Seiya Dojima, "7 Days Report" as Ryota Maesawa, "High & Low: The Movie" as Bernie, "Kizoku Kourin -Prince Of Legend-" as Shintaro Ando, and others.
