Voice actress Haruka Tomatsu is playing as the bright and popular high school girl Kyoko Hori, and voice actor Kouki Uchiyama as the apparent nerdy glasses-wearing guy Izumi Miyamura.
The series will be animated by CloverWorks and Masashi Ishihama will serve as the series director. Takao Yoshioka will be working on the series composition and script. The character designs will be supervised by Haruko Iizuka and Masaru Yokoyama is in-charge of the music composition.
English publisher Yen Press describes the manga as:
At first glance, the ultra-popular Hori-san seems like a frivolous high school girl, but in reality, she's plain, pragmatic, and family-oriented. On the other hand, the bespectacled Miyamura-kun comes across as an average, gloomy high school fanboy, but he's actually an attractive young man who has a bad-boy streak and is covered in piercings and tattoos. When these two unexpectedly similar classmates have a random run-in outside of the classroom, a bubbly, sweet tale of school life begins!
The original manga series was released on February 2007 on HERO's website Dokkai Ahen in a four-panel format. Square Enix compiled the chapters in 10 volumes under its imprint Gangan Comics between October 22, 2008 and December 28, 2011.
