"Hortensia Saga" TV anime series releases new key visual and 3rd PV, anime premieres January 6, 2021

The official Twitter of the TV anime series adaptation of Sega's 'Hortensia Saga' mobile RPG has revealed a new key visual for its TV anime series premiere on January 6, 2021. Its third promotional video was also released revealing the series' opening and ending theme songs along with the release date.

Animation studio LIDEN Films will be animating and producing the new series with Yasuto Nishikata serving as the series director. The scripts are written by Rintarou Ikeda with Takayuki Onoda being in charge of the character designs and ZENTA composing the series' music.
The cast includes Yoshimasa Hosoya as Alfred Albert, Yui Horie as Marius Casterede, Kenjiro Tsuda as Maurice Baudelaire, Reina Ueda as Nonnoria Foly, Aya Uchida as Qoo Morimol, Yuichiro Umehara as Deflotte Danowa, Yu Kobayashi as Adelheid Olivier, among others.
Japanese rock band MY FIRST STORY is performing the opening theme song titled "Leader" and the ending theme song titled "Yasō to Hakuchūmu (Night Ideas and Daydreaming)" to be performed by Japanese utaite singer and songwriter Mafumafu.
The series is based on the Japanese free-to-play role-playing video game developed by Sega which was released in Japan on April 22, 2015 for Android and iOS devices. A manga adaptation illustrated by Pon Jea and Seiji began serialization in Media Factory's seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Alive from March 2020.
