"It's Disgusting to Call This Love" TV anime series first promotional video revealed, anime premieres April 2021

The official website of the TV anime series adaptation of Mogusu's "It's Disgusting to Call This Love (Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui)" age-gap romantic comedy manga series has revealed on Friday its first promotional video (PV) for the new anime series. The PV introduces the cast members along with an announcement of the anime's release which will be in April 2020.

Animation studio Nomad will animate the series with Naomi Nakayama serving as the series' director and Taku Yamada as assistant director. Yuuko Kakihara will be in charge of the scripts, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi for the music composition. Mariko Fujita will work on the character designs and will also serve as the chief animation director.
Cast includes Yurie Kozakai as Ichika Arima, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Ryo Amakusa, Rena Hasegawa as Rio Amakusa, Junya Enoki as Kai Tamaru, Kana Hanazawa as Arie Matsushima, and Ryohei Kimura as Masuda.
The series is based on the Japanese romantic comedy manga series by Mogusu. It has been serialized online via Ichijinsha's Comic POOL digital manga magazine since January 2015 and has been collected in seven tankōbon volumes.
The story follows of a high spec businessman Amakusa Ryou who's loose with women and took a strange encounter with his high school sister's best friend, Arima Ichika. From there he falls madly in love. On the one hand, he approaches her with almost too straight-forward methods, while she responds simply disgusted, insulting him without hesitation... and he takes it as her way of showing love.
