Japanese voice actress Hikari Yono passes away at 46

The family of Japanese voice actress Hikari Yono made an announcement on Friday through the actress' official Twitter that Hikari Yono passed away while undergoing medical treatment for an undisclosed illness last November 15.

Yono's family also expressed their sincerest gratitude to all those who supported the voice actress in her career and hope that her works will live in the hearts of everyone.

Yono was born on October 8, 1974 in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. She is notable for playing the voice acting roles of Kaolinite in Sailor Moon Crystal, Princess Elise's ladies-in-waiting in Sonic the Hedgehog, Samui in Naruto Shippuden, Mother Okojo in Shiawase Sou no Okojo-san, among others. Her other roles include in animated series Ghost in the Shell, The Galaxy Railways, and Irwin in the Japanese dub of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
