ONE OK ROCK's Toru Yamashita has been discharged from hospital after COVID-19 recovery

Band leader and guitarist Toru Yamashita of the Japanese rock band "ONE OK ROCK" posted a status on Instagram Thursday afternoon, that he was discharged from the hospital after 9 days of recovery after testing positive for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). He also thanked his friends, family, co-members, fans and most especially the frontliners who took care of him. In addition, he also stated his feeling of being hospitalize and the experience of having mild symptoms due to the disease.
"I’m sorry for worrying about me. Luckily it was mild, so I was discharged and back. Well, honestly, it was long… The isolated life was harder than I expected, so there were times when I was about to go insane, but I'm relieved now because I can feel the air outside. Above all, I appreciate the medical staff who supported me during my hospitalization. Also, thank you so much, the all fans who sent me warmful messages, the members who supported me, and my friends.", he stated in Japanese via his Instagram account.
Last July 28, Yamashita tested positive for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as announced by his agency. The announcement stated that he awoke with both a fever and chills on July 27 morning, and a PCR test on the same day revealed that he was infected with the disease.
Yamashita was in a stable condition before being admitted. The agency confirmed that the other band members have not been in close contact with Yamashita recently, and that they are in a good condition.
