The official Twitter page of Pokémon Go which is handled by its developer Niantic Labs Inc., has announced Tuesday that the hit-mobile Pokémon franchise game will no longer support some Android and iOS systems, and some Apple devices on their next major update next month. The update is expected to roll around the first or second week of October.

In the statement, Pokemon Go will be ending its support for Android systems that run the Android 5 version and iOS systems that run iOS 10 and iOS 11. In addition, two Apple products will also be affected including the iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 devices. It is still unknown if the iPhone 6s device is included on the list.

The developers also added that users (referred as 'trainers') with devices not specifically listed on the provided list will not be affected and don't need to take any action.

Last June of this year, Niantic already did release a notice for those devices running in 32-bit systems will not be receiving support any longer starting August as their system is slowly migrating to run on the modern 64-bit ones.

Just last week, Niantic and The Pokémon Company rolled a big update in the Pokémon GO releasing the main game series' Generation 5 famous content, Mega Evolution.
