'Pompo: The Cinéphile' anime film has been postponed to Spring 2021

The official Twitter of "Pompo: The Cinéphile" animated film has announced on Friday (Sept. 25) that the production committee has decided to postpone the opening of the film in Japanese theaters to Spring 2021 due to 'various reasons'. They also expressed their apologies as well as gratitude to everyone involved with their decision.

The film was originally scheduled to premiere this year.
"Due to various reasons, we have decided to postpone the Pompo: The Cinéphile film release until Spring 2021. We will inform you of the new releases date as soon as it is decided. We apologize to everyone who is looking forward to it, but we appreciate your continued support.", the announcement on their Twitter page stated.
The film is animated by CLAP and directed by Takayuki Hirao, with Ryoichiro Matsuo serving as producer and Shingo Adachi designing the characters.
The film adaptation is based on the Japanese manga series by Shogo Sugitani (also known as Ningen Plamo), serialized online via pixiv Comic website since April 2017. It has been collected in two tankōbon volumes by Media Factory.
