'Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Rent-A-Girlfriend)' Season 2 has been announced, more information soon

The official website of Reiji Miyajima's "Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu' has announced on Saturday, Sept. 26, that the TV anime series will be receiving a 2nd season. A special illustration has also been released to celebrate the new season release . No release date was announced.

The announcement was made right after the final episode of the first season has aired in Japan at 1:25 am local time. The website stated that more information regarding the 2nd season will come soon.

The first season of the series consisting of 12 episodes, aired from July 11 to September 26, 2020 on the Super Animeism programming block on MBS and other networks. It was animated by TMS Entertainment and directed by Kazuomi Koga, with Mitsutaka Hirota handling series composition, Kanna Hirayama designing the characters, and Hyadain composing the music.
The Peggies performed the opening theme "Centimeter". Halca performed the first ending theme "Kokuhaku Bungee Jump" starting from Episodes 2–6 and 8–12, while Halca also performed the second ending theme "First Drop" for Episode 7.
The series is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. It has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since July 2017, and has been compiled into seventeen volumes as of September 2020.
