The theme song for the final film adaptation of Hideaki Sorachi's "Gintama" manga series is titled "Wadachi (Tracks)" by the rock band SPYAIR. The band previously performed the theme song titled "Genjō Destruction" for the franchise's previous film "Gekijōban Gintama Kanketsu-hen: Yorozuya yo Eien Nare (Gintama: The Movie: The Final Chapter: Be Forever Yorozuya)", and the three previous theme songs for the Gintama TV anime series including its 17th ending song "Samurai Heart (Some Like It Hot!!)", 13th opening song "Sakura Mitsutsuki", and 21st opening song "I Wanna Be...".

Meanwhile, the still-untitled insert song of the new film will be performed by the rock band DOES which is also returning after performing three songs of the Gintama TV anime series including the series' 5th ending song "Shura" in 2007, 5th opening song "Donten" in 2008 and 17th opening song "KNOW KNOW KNOW" in 2016, and an insert song for the franchise's previous 2010 film "Gintama: The Movie" titled "Bakuchi Dancer / Bokutachi no Kisetsu".

"Gintama: The Final Movie" film will premiere in Japanese theaters on January 8, 2021, and is billed as "the finale, for real this time." The film is based on the finale of the original manga, combined with new story elements.
