'TRUE' and 'Stereo Dive Foundation' to perform "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2" theme songs

The official YouTube channel of BANDAI NAMCO Arts has revealed on Sunday that TRUE and Stereo Dive Foundation will perform the opening and ending theme songs of the 2nd season of the TV anime series adaptation of Fuse's "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" light novel series through the streamed 2nd promotional video (PV) of the series. The first half of the new season will begin broadcasting on January 12, 2021. It will be followed by the second half scheduled for July 2021.

Japanese pop singer, lyricist, actress and former idol "Karasawa Miho" under her stage name "TRUE" will perform the opening theme song titled "Storyteller". TRUE has performed theme songs for Violet Evergarden, Buddy Complex, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Maria the Virgin Witch, and Sound! Euphonium, among others. Karasawa made her debut in 2000 with the release of the song "Anytime, Anywhere".
On the other hand, Tensura S2's ending theme which is currently untitled will be performed by "Stereo Dive Foundation". "Stereo Dive Foundation" is the sound making project of RON, who is also active as a music producer. He performed the several theme songs of TV anime series including "Kyoukai no Kanata", "Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma" and "Moriarty the Patriot".

Eight Bit will still animate the series, with the staff and cast members reprising their roles. The new season was scheduled to premiere in October 2020, but has been delayed due to the effects of COVID-19 on Japan.
The first season of the TV anime series adaptation was animated and produced by animation studio Eight Bit, which aired from October 2018 to March 2019 with a total of 24 episodes. The series was directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi, with Atsushi Nakayama as assistant director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handling series composition, Ryouma Ebata designing the characters, and Takahiro Kishida providing monster designs. Elements Garden composed the series' music
The series is based on the Japanese fantasy light novel series written by Fuse, and illustrated by Mitz Vah. that was serialized online between 2013 and 2016 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was acquired by Micro Magazine, who published the first light novel volume in 2014. Sixteen volumes have been released as of March 2020.
It also has received a manga adaptation published by Kodansha along with three manga spin-offs published respectively by Micro Magazine and Kodansha.
A spin-off anime series based on the Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime manga was also scheduled to premiere in January 2021 but has been also delayed to April 2021 due to COVID-19. Eight Bit will also animate the series, with Yuji Ikuhara directing the series, Kotatsumikan writing the script, Risa Takai and Atsushi Irie as character designers, and R.O.N composing the music.
