'The Quintessential Quintuplets' Season 2 reveals new key visual and PV, anime set to premiere on Jan. 7, 2021

The official Twitter for the TV anime series adaptation of Negi Haruba's "The Quintessential Quintuplets (Go-Tōbun no Hanayome)" manga series has revealed on Thursday a new promotional video (PV) for the second season of the anime and a key visual featuring the quintuplets. The PV also revealed that the series will begin broadcasting in January 7, 2021 in Japan.

Bibury Animation Studios is replacing Tezuka Productions for the animation production of the new season with Kaori as the director replacing Satoshi Kuwabara who directed the first season of the anime. The scripts is written by Keiichirō Ōchi with character designs by Michinosuke Nakamura and Gagakuga. The music is composed and arranged by Natsumi Tabuchi, Hanae Nakamura, and Miki Sakurai.
The first season of the series was aired from January 10 to March 28, 2019 with a total of 12 episodes.
The series is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Negi Haruba which was serialized from August 2017 to February 2020 in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine.
The story follows the daily life of a high school student Futaro Uesugi who is hired as a private tutor for a group of quintuplets, Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba and Itsuki Nakano, who perform poorly academically. At the very beginning of the story, it is indicated Futaro will marry with one of the Nakano quintuplets but the identity of the bride is unknown until near the end of the story.
