"Toriko" manga series reaches 25 million copies in circulation

The Twitter page of Weekly Shounen JUMP magazine (unofficial) has revealed on Monday that this year's 48th issue of the magazine will reveal a new milestone achieved by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro's "Toriko" manga series as it reaches 25 million copies in circulation with physical and digital copies combined. A leak page scan of the announcement was posted on their Twitter page.

Toriko is written and illustrated by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from May 2008 to November 2016, with 396 chapters collected into 43 tankōbon volumes by Shueisha. It follows the adventures of Toriko, a Gourmet Hunter, as he searches for rare, diverse foods to complete a full-course meal. On his journey, he is accompanied by a timid chef who wants to improve his skills.
The manga has also been adapted into an anime television series produced by Toei Animation, which was broadcast in Japan from April 2011 to March 2014. Additionally, Toei developed a 2011 animated 3D short film and a 2013 feature film. (via Wiki)
