'Tomorrow X Together' to perform World Trigger TV anime series' new opening song titled "Force"

The official Twitter and website of the TV anime adaptation of Daisuke Ashihara's "World Trigger" has revealed on Friday that the opening theme song for the series will be performed by 5-member Korean boy-group 'Tomorrow X Together' with the title "Force". The new series will begin broadcasting on January 9, 2021.

The opening song is written by Motoko Ōmori of the rock band Mrs. Green Apple and the ending theme song will be performed by Japanese rock band Kami wa Saikoro o Furanai "Mirai Eigō" (The Endless Future).
The first television series adaptation produced by Toei Animation consisting of a total of 73 episodes was aired on TV Asahi from October 2014 to April 2016. The series was directed by Mitsuru Hongo with series composition by Hiroyuki Yoshino. Toshihisa Kaiya and Hitomi Tsuruta are the character designers and animation directors, and the music is composed by Kenji Kawai. The first season's cast included Nobuhiko Okamoto, Rie Kugimiya, Hideyuki Tanaka, Nao Tamura, Jun Fukuyama, Tomo Muranaka, Yūki Kaji, and Yūichi Nakamura.
The "World Trigger" TV anime series is based on Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Daisuke Ashihara. It was initially serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from February 2013 to November 2018 and transferred to Jump Square in December 2018. Its chapters have been compiled by Shueisha into 22 tankōbon volumes as of June 2020.
