Netflix brings ONE PIECE's Baratie ship to life for live-action drama

The Baratie comes to life on the set of the live-action drama produced by Tomorrow Studios and Shueisha, set to premiere on Netflix.

Thanks to Netflix, ONE PIECE fans get to see the famous ship-restaurant Baratie come to life as the staff and cast for the live-action drama adaptation recreate it in South Africa as part of their set.

Below is a video documentary from Netflix (in English) showing the ongoing construction of the real-life Baratie.

The documentary is led by Iñaki Godoy who plays Monkey D. Luffy, with Executive Producers Steven Maeda and Matt Owens.

As of writing, no specific release date for the live-action has been announced, but it is available on Netflix for fans to be alerted when it airs.

This upcoming Netflix live-action drama serves as the live-action adaptation of the ongoing 1997 Japanese manga series of the same name by Eiichiro Oda. The live-action is produced by Tomorrow Studios and Shueisha (who also publish the manga).

The cast includes:

  • Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy

  • Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro

  • Emily Rudd as Nami

  • Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp

  • Taz Skylar as Sanji
