'Record of Ragnarok' announces season 2 for 2023, to premiere on Netflix

The martial arts anime featuring humanity challenging the gods is getting a season 2 in 2023, also on Netflix.

Official accounts have released a new teaser visual to announce an upcoming season two for martial arts anime Record of Ragnarok (Full title: Record of Ragnarok II).

As the Tweet above adds, the second season will premiere on streaming platform Netflix in 2023. Additional details regarding season 2 will be revealed at the Anime Expo 2022 in July. New characters who will enrich the story are expected to appear in season 2.

Record of Ragnarok (Japanese: 終末のワルキューレ, Romaji: Shūmatsu no Warukyūre) is a Japanese manga series written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and illustrated by Ajichika. It began in Coamix's (formerly also published by Tokuma Shoten) seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Zenon in November 2017. The official English translation is licensed by Viz Media.

Season 1 of the anime adaptation was an original net animation (ONA) by Graphinica. It premiered on Netflix in June 2021.
