A second promotional video has been released for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Yasuki Tanaka's suspense series Summer Time Rendering.
The anime will air in Japan on April 14, 2022 on TOKYO MX and BS11. It is animated by studio OLM and is slated for a total of 25 episodes divided into two cours.
Summer Time Rendering follows protagonist Shinpei Ajiro (CV: Natsuki Hanae), who grew up with sisters Ushio (CV: Anna Nagase) and Mio Kofune (CV: Saho Shirasu) after the death of his parents. While Shinpei is in Tokyo, he is shocked to learn that Ushio has passed away from drowning. He returns to their hometown to find out the true cause of Ushio's death.
The second PV also narrates the superstition that those who catch the "shadow sickness" will be able to see the shadows and eventually die. It also features the first opening theme 「星が泳ぐ」 (Unofficial English: The Stars Swim) by Macaroni Empitsu.
