The official Twitter of Shogakukan Manga One editor Shou Kobayashi has announced on Sunday that the action-fantasy manga "Helck" is receiving a TV anime adaptation. An announcement illustration visual was revealed to commemorate the adaptation decision. No other details were revealed as of writing.

The announcement was made right after the final episode airing of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Entertainment District Arc". No broadcast date has been revealed for the series as of writing.

The Helck manga series was written and illustrated by Nanaki Nanao which was serialized from May 2014 to December 2017 in Shogakukan's Ura Sunday magazine. In 2015, Helck ranked 8th in the "Tsugi Ni Kuru Manga Taishou" in the Next Generation Manga Awards.

Soon after the last Demon King was defeated, the Demon Empire starts a tournament to choose the next Demon King. But the favorite contestant to win is none other than a human, the hero Helck, whose motive to become the Demon King is to defeat his own race. Is there any truth behind what Helck claims? It's up to one of the Four Heavenly Kings of the Empire, Red Vamirio, to discover and unfold Helck's true intentions.
