Anime shows on Netflix this April 2021

It's officially the start of Spring anime season and it only means more anime titles are coming on Netflix this month! Here are the upcoming anime series that will be added to the Netflix library for the month of April!


Japanese Title: Gokushufudou

Premiere Date: April 8, 2021

The upcoming anime series adaptation of Kousuke Oono’s hit comedy manga series "The Way of the Househusband (Gokushufudō) is coming exclusively on Netflix on April 8 worldwide!

After disappearing from the underworld, the legendary yakuza Tatsu, "the Immortal Dragon," resurfaces - as a fiercely devoted stay-at-home husband.


Japanese Title: Boku no Hero Academia 5

Premiere Date: April 5, 2021

The ULTRA PLUS battle of UA High's Class 1-A and 1-B continues with the 5th season of Kouhei Horikoshi's "My Hero Academia ("Boku no Hero Academia") with the first episode airing on April 5 on Netflix. Who will emerge victorious?


Chinese Title: Tiān Guān Cì Fú

Premiere Date: April 9, 2021

The romantic fantasy Chinese anime series 'Heaven Official's Blessing' is coming to Netflix on April 9, 2021. Banished to the mortal realm to exorcise ghosts, a deity must reckon with a demon and soon uncovers a dark secret behind the heavenly gods.


Japanese Title: JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken 4: Ōgon no Kaze

Premiere Date: April 1, 2021

The fifth story arc series TV anime adaptation of the Japanese manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is coming to Netflix on April 1. The 39-episode season covers chapters 440 to 594 of the manga, titled Golden Wind, which is set after the events of Diamond is Unbreakable. Set in 2001, the season the series follows the adventures of Giorno Giovanna, the son of Dio Brando (from Phantom Blood and Stardust Crusaders) but conceived with Jonathan Joestar's body, who joins the criminal organization Passione in the hopes of becoming a gangster (or "Gang-Star") and taking control of the organization in the name of reform.


Japanese Title: Eizōken ni wa Te o Dasu na!

Premiere Date: April 1, 2021

The TV anime adaptation of Sumito Ōwara's 'Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!' is premiering on April 1 on Netflix! The series follows first year high schooler Midori Asakusa who loves anime so much, she insists that "concept is everything" in animation. While she spends her time doodling endless ideas and settings in her sketchbook, she hasn't taken the first step to creating anime, insisting that she can't do it alone. After Asakusa's money-loving best friend Sayaka Kanamori notices her genius and drive, and when it becomes clear that their classmate and charismatic fashion model Tsubame Mizusaki wants to be an animator, the energetic trio start an animation club. Together, the three aim to realize the "ultimate world" that exists in their minds, and come to see the power that fiction and imagination have on their lives and the world around them.
