'Black Summoner' releases 2nd PV, OP&ED themes for July 2022 broadcast

The 2nd PV features opening theme DEAD END in the head by retbear (unknown Vo : 10fu), and the ending theme Wherever by Minori Suzuki.

A second promotional video has been released for the TV anime adaptation of fantasy light novel series Black Summoner (Kuro no Shoukanshi).


The anime is scheduled to air on July 9, 2022 and is animated by studio Satelight.

Black Summoner began as a fantasy light novel series written by Doufu Mayoi. It tells the story of protagonist Kelvin (CV: Koki Uchiyama) who wakes up with no memory of his past life, after which he realizes he bartered his memories away in exchange for powerful new abilities. In his new life, he now works as a Summoner and sets out on adventures to take down strong opponents.


In this second PV, the featured opening theme is DEAD END in the head (頭ん中DEAD END), sung by retbear (unknown Vo : 10fu), with lyrics and arrangement by Kairiki Bear.


The ending theme Wherever is also featured. It is sung by Minori Suzuki, with lyrics and composition by MALIYA, and with arrangement by Island State Music.

About Black Summoner

Black Summoner (Japanese: 黒の召喚士, Romaji: Kuro no Shōkanshi) is a Japanese light novel series written by Doufu Mayoi. It began publication online on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō novel posting website in October 2014. Overlap began publishing the series with illustrations by Kurogin under their Overlap Bunko imprint in June 2016. A manga adaptation with illustrations by Gin Ammo began serialization in Overlap's Comic Gardo website in January 2018.
