Tatsuki Fujimoto’s action-horror fiction and dark fantasy manga series "Chainsaw Man" has been awarded on Friday (NY Time) during the comic books achievement awards ‘THE HARVEY AWARDS 2021’ held in New York as the BEST MANGA of 2021.

The manga bested other nominees included Asadora! by Naoki Urasawa (VIZ Media), Boys Run the Riot by Keito, Gaku (Kodansha Comics), Remina by Junji Ito (VIZ Media), and Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo (VIZ Media).

The Harvey Awards are one of the comic industry's oldest and most prestigious awards. Recognizing outstanding achievement in multiple categories, the Harvey's have been a fixture of the comic industry since 1988.

The action-horror fiction and dark fantasy manga series Chainsaw Man written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since December 2018. Its chapters have been collected in nine tankōbon volumes as of November 2020. It is also published by Shueisha on the Manga Plus online platform. The manga series was recently hailed as the Best Manga in the Male Demographic category by Kono Manga ga Sugoi's 2021 Ranking published on December 2020 and as the Best Manga in recently-concluded The Harvey Awards 2021.

The manga will inspire a television (TV) anime series adaptation soon.
