'Chainsaw Man' Part 2 manga series to cover School Arc

It was announced on Saturday during the stage presentation at the JUMP Festa 2021 that the second part of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man manga series will cover the 'School Arc' (Gakkou-hen) featuring Denji going to school. No other details were revealed as of writing.


The first part of the manga series officially ended on December 13 and a second part was announced the same day.


A TV anime series adaptation of the hit-manga series was also announced to premiere soon. The series will be animated by animation studio MAPPA.


The action-horror fiction and dark fantasy manga series "Chainsaw Man" written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since December 2018. Its chapters have been collected in nine tankōbon volumes as of November 2020. It is also published by Shueisha on the Manga Plus online platform. The manga series was recently hailed as the Best Manga in the Male Demographic category by Kono Manga ga Sugoi's 2021 Ranking published on December 2020.


As of October 2020, the manga had over 4.2 million copies in circulation. Chainsaw Man has been overall well received by critics, who have highlighted its storytelling, violent scenes and dark humor.
