CHiCO with HoneyWorks' Sekai wa Koi ni Ochiteiru -THE FIRST TAKE- video reaches 10M views on YouTube

THE FIRST TAKE's Episode 55 featuring the Japanese music group CHiCO with HoneyWorks performing their 2014 hit debut song 'Sekai wa Koi ni Ochiteiru' has reached 10 million views on YouTube. The song was performed in one take by CHiCO with a special piano arrangement by Keiki Uto of HoneyWorks.

CHiCO has posted a Tweet on Sunday on her official Twitter account stating the milestone with her gratitude for all who supported them and watched the recording video.


The song recording for THE FIRST TAKE, a YouTube Channel dedicated to shooting musicians and singers performing in a single take, marked her first appearance to the public as she hadn’t shown her face on the media and have appeared with audio only since the band's debut. The song was used as the opening theme of the Ao Haru Ride anime series released in 2014.


About the band:

CHiCO with HoneyWorks is a music group consisting of the band members HoneyWorks, and CHiCO as the vocalist. The group debuted in August 2014 with "Sekai wa Koi ni Ochiteiru", which came out highly successful, and the song was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. The group has gone on to produce twelve singles and three albums over the course of their career. They are mostly known for providing opening themes from popular anime, such as Ao Haru Ride, Gintama, and Koi wa Ameagari no You ni.
