'Classroom of the Elite' Season 2 announced, more details on March 6

A special animation presentation on March 6 will be held to deliver more information regarding its second season.

The 2017 TV anime series ‘Classroom of the Elite (Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e)’ based on the light novel series by Shōgo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose of the same title has been announced to receive a sequel.

According to the official Twitter for the franchise, a presentation on March 6 at 8 PM JST will be held via live stream on KADOKAWA Anime's official YouTube channel to deliver more information regarding its second season. An illustration visual drawn by its illustrator Shunsaku Tomose was also released to commemorate the announcement.


Original voice actors of Kiyotaka Ayanokōji (CV: Shōya Chiba) and Kikyou Kushida (CV: Yurika Kubo) have been confirmed to return for the sequel as they will serve as guests for the upcoming presentation of the sequel on March 6.

About Classroom of the Elite

The Classroom of the Elite manga series is a Japanese light novel series written by Shōgo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose which was published under Media Factory's MF Bunko J imprint since 2015. As of October 2021, sixteen volumes and four short volumes have been released.


The series inspired a manga adaptation illustrated by Yuyu Ichino began serialization in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine on January 27, 2016. It has been collected in eleven tankōbon volumes as of June 23, 2021. It also inspired a TV anime series adaptation by Studio Lerche aired from July 12 to September 27, 2017 on AT-X and other channels in Japan consisting of 12 episodes.
