'DEEMO Memorial Keys' anime film reveals 2nd key visual, announces two additional voice actors

The official website of the anime film adaptation of Rayark Games' "DEEMO" rhythm game has revealed on Monday, during the "DEEMO THE MOVIE" Special Panel held at the Anime Expo Lite 2021, the 2nd key visual for the anime film titled "DEEMO Memorial Keys (DEEMO Sakura no Oto)". The film is set to premiere soon.

Apart from the new visual reveal, two additional cast members were announced. Akari Kito is joining the cast as Sania, and Ayane Sakura as Rosalia.

The film will be animated and produced by Production I.G and Signal.MD. It is directed by Shuhei Matsushita, with Jun'ichi Fujisaku serving as executive director. Fujisaku and Bun'Ō Fujisawa are handling the series' composition, and Mebachi is in charge of the character designs. Lyricist and musician Yuki Kajiura will compose the film's theme song. The film was originally scheduled to premiere in 2020 but was later postponed to 2021.


The previously announced cast includes:

  • Ayana Taketatsu as Alice

  • Akari Nibu (Hinatazaka46) as Masked Girl

The game will also inspire a manga series to be serialized in Ichijinsha's Comic Zero Sum magazine by Haruki Niwa.


It is based on the rhythm video game developed by Taiwanese game developer Rayark. The game was released on iOS and Android mobile platforms on November 13, 2013. In June 2015, "Deemo: Last Recital", an enhanced port for the PlayStation Vita, was released followed by a Nintendo Switch port was in September 2017. On November 21, 2019, a remake of the entire game in 3D titled "Deemo -REBORN-" for PlayStation 4 was released and a year after on December 21, 2019, the second installment of the game titled "Deemo II" was announced to be currently in development for Android.
