Japanese media outlet MANTANWEB has revealed on Monday that the animated film sequel of Koyoharu Gotouge's "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" manga series titled "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie - Mugen Train" has surpassed over 40 billion yen in box office revenue with a total of 28.96 million admissions locally in a span of 7 months since the film's premiere in Japanese theaters last October 16. Worldwide, the film exceeded the 50 billion yen mark with a total figure of 51.7 billion yen from over 41.35 million admissions.
