'Demon Slayer: Blood-Stench Blade Royale' free-to-play mobile game release has been delayed to 2021

Sony Music Entertainment Japan's production company Aniplex Inc. has announced on Tuesday that the free-to-play mobile game titled "Demon Slayer: Blood-Stench Blade Royale (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Keppū Kengeki Royale)" has been delayed to 2021 from the originally announced release date of year-end 2020. The announcement was made through a notice on the official game website of Koyoharu Gotouge's "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" franchise. The new date will be revealed in the future.


The announcement also stated that the decision was made due to that the upcoming game will undergo further development and quality improvements.

The game was announced last March 16, 2020 and is being developed by Aniplex subsidiary Quatro A.


A video game for PlayStation 4 titled "Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan" has also been announced to be released in 2021. It is published by Aniplex and developed by CyberConnect2.
