The English YouTube Channel of SEGA Asia has revealed on Monday a new promotional trailer for the upcoming action video game based on Koyoharu Gotouge's "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" series titled "Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Kepputan). The promo video reveals that the game will be releasing this 2021 to Playstation®4, Playstation®5, STEAM®, XBOX® ONE, XBOX® Series X and XBOX® Series S. The game will be in the English version.

The game is produced by Sony Music Entertainment Japan's production company Aniplex Inc. and is developed by CyberConnect2. SEGA Corporation is publishing the game for distribution. Earlier this year, it was originally announced as a Playstation®4 game with a trailer released last March 20.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles will have its own story mode and allow players to experience the story of the manga and anime through CyberConnect2’s characteristic flair for depicting anime scenes using 3D graphics. Outside of the story mode, players can also work together in a “tag battle” mode that functions as a multiplayer system.

SEGA describes the game as:

Become the Demon Slayer, Tanjiro Kamado, to fight off the demons threatening humanity in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human, as well as to avenge the death of his family by hunting down the demon who killed them.
