'Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars 2021' releases special PV for March 2022 premiere

The anime film Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars 2021, which has been rescheduled to premiere in Japan on Mar. 4, 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has released a special promotional video.


This is the 41st Doraemon film in the entire Doraemon franchise and serves as a remake of the 1985 film Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars.


The film's plot revolves around the small, humanoid alien Papi (CV: Romi Park), who escaped from his home planet Pirika which has fallen under the control of the evil PCIA army. But the army chases Papi to earth and informs him they have kidnapped Piina. Doraemon, Nobita, and the rest of the cast decide to travel to Pirika in order to save Piina.


The featured theme song for the 2021 remake is Universe by Official Hige Dandism (Official髭男dism), who is most popular for singing Cry Baby, the opening theme song for the 2021 anime Tokyo Revengers.

Doraemon (Japanese: ドラえもん) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko F. Fujio. The manga was first serialized in December 1969, with its 1,345 individual chapters compiled into 45 tankōbon volumes and published by Shogakukan from 1970 to 1996. The story revolves around an earless robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a boy named Nobita Nobi.



Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars 2021 (Japanese: ドラえもん: のび太の 宇宙小戦争リトル スター ウォーズ 2021) is an upcoming Japanese science fiction animated film. It is the 41st Doraemon film and serves as a remake of the 1985 film Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars. It was originally set for release on March 5, 2021 but was removed from the release schedule due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
