'Edens Zero' TV anime reveals 2nd PV and theme songs, series to begin broadcasting on April 10

The official anime YouTube channel of streaming giant Netflix and the official Twitter for the anime project of Hiro Mashima's Edens Zero manga series have streamed on Friday the 2nd promotional video for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of the manga of the same title. The new PV reveals the theme songs for the anime. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting on April 10, 2021 and later in 2021 via Netflix.

The series is animated by J.C. Staff and is directed by Yuushi Suzuki, with Shinji Ishihara serving as chief director. The scripts are written by Mitsutaka Hirota, characters are designed by Yurika Sako, and the music is composed by Yoshihisa Hirano. The series is scheduled to air on NTV and other Japanese local channels and Netflix is streaming the anime later in 2021.


The opning theme song titled "Eden through the rough" is performed by Takanori Nishikawa and the ending theme titled "Bouken no VLOG" is performed by CHiCO with HoneyWorks.


On June 12, 2020, Mashima announced on Twitter that the manga would be adapted into a television anime series.

Edens Zero is based on the Japanese science fiction manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima who also wrote the series 'Rave' and 'Fairy Tail'. It has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine since June 2018, with its chapters collected into eleven tankōbon volumes as of August 2020.


The story follows a boy named Shiki Granbell who embarks on a voyage aboard the titular starship across different planets in search of a cosmic goddess known as "Mother".
