Competitive football takes on even higher stakes with the Blue Lock Project.

Official channels have released the first main promotional video for upcoming football anime Blue Lock, which airs in October 2022 on TV Asahi's NUMAnimation programming block. The anime is produced by Studio Eight Bit.
The PV is led by character/coach Jinpachi Ego (CV: Hiroshi Kamiya) who introduces the aspiring football athletes into the cutthroat world of the Blue Lock Project.
The Blue Lock Project is a plan to groom young athletes into professional stardom by making them undergo a regimen designed to create the world's greatest egotist striker. The catch is that those who fail the project will never again be permitted to represent Japan.

Synopsis
In 2018, the Japanese national team finished 16th in the FIFA World Cup. As a result, the Japanese Football Union hires the soccer enigma Ego Jinpachi. His master plan to lead Japan to stardom is Blue Lock, a training regimen designed to create the world's greatest egotist striker. Those who fail Blue Lock will never again be permitted to represent Japan. Yoichi Isagi, an unknown high school student, decides to join the program in order to become the best player in the world.
