An official website has been opened for original TV anime project HIGHSPEED Etoile. Character designs are by Takuya Fujima (Chima R-15, Deus Vitae). No release date has been announced as of writing.
Below is the first teaser visual. As shown, the anime will focus on the motorsport formula racing.
HIGHSPEED Etoile is set in the future wherein racing technology has enabled vehicles to travel safely at speeds over 500 km/h. This has resulted in a new formula racing competition called the NEX Race.
The female protagonist above is Rin Rindoh (輪堂 凜). Her character profile says she originally dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer but quit due to a personal incident. She finds new meaning in life in racing.
