The official website of Actas' "Girls und Panzer das Finale" has revealed on Sunday a promotional video for the 3rd out of the 6-part anime theatrical film series of the same title with the English title "Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter". Its third key visual was also released. The 3rd film installment is scheduled to premiere in Japan on March 26, 2021.
The film series is directed by Tsutomu Mizushima in animation studio Actas, with scripts written by Reiko Yoshida and produced by Kiyoshi Sugiyama. The film is set after the events of the TV anime series and the feature movie, with Graphinica's Kyoto Studio using Unreal Engine 4 for the CG animation and background assets for the tank battle scenes.
The first film premiered in Japan on December 9, 2017, while the second film premiered on June 15, 2019.
Girls und Panzer was originally a TV series that initially aired in Japan between October and December 2012, with two additional episodes that aired in March 2013 and an original video animation released in July 2014. Nine manga series and a light novel adaptation have been published by Media Factory.
