Quantum and Nori Kazato's "I'm Quitting Heroing (Yuusha, Yamemasu)" light novel series has been announced on Wednesday to receive a television (TV) anime adaptation. The series is animated by EMT Squared and is scheduled to begin broadcasting in April 2022.
The official YouTube channel of KADOKAWA Anime Channel streamed the first promotional video of the series.
The first key visual for the anime was also released.
EMT Squared is animating the new series with Yuu Nobuta serving as the chief director and Hisashi Ishii as the director. Shigeru Murakoshi is in charge of the series composition. Yuki Nakano is handling the character designs.
The cast includes:
Kensho Ono as Leo Demonheart
Kaede Hondo as Echidna
Shizuka Itou as Steiner
Hitomi Ohwada as Lily
Yumi Uchiyama as Mernes
Tetsu Inada as Edvard
The series is based on the manga series 'Yuusha, Yamemasu: Tsugi no Shokuba wa Maōjō' written by Quantum and illustrated by Nori Kazato which was serialized in January 2017 in the Kakuyomu website. KADOKAWA began publishing its individual chapters in December 2017 with the fourth volume being released last August 2020.
