Japanese singer Masayoshi Oishi releases first album 'Entertainer'

Japanese singer-songwriter Masayoshi Oishi (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Tada Never Falls in Love) has released the music video (MV) for the album Entertainer.

The MV was directed by Masakazu Fukatsu, who has worked with Oishi many times in the past. The video contains scenes from when Oishi entered the live venue to when he stood on the stage and began to sing. A montage of his thoughts are also mixed in with the performance scenes.


"Entertainer" is also the title of the first track of his first album, which contains a total of 13 songs.

The CD was released on Aug. 25, 2021 with the following versions and prices:

The second track "Imperfect" is the opening theme song for the anime "SSSS.DYNAZENON", while "Hands" and "Kamiari Algorithm (feat. Riria.)" have also been used as theme songs for the superhero television series "Ultraman R/B."


To promote his first album, Oishi will also be performing live on Sept. 19, 2021, at the Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall in Kanagawa Prefecture. Tickets cost JPY 6,900. Instructions and other related information are on the Entertainer dedicated site and eplus Japan.


About Masayoshi Oishi

Masayoshi Oishi (大石 昌良) is a Japanese musician and singer-songwriter from Uwajima, Ehime. His professional music career began in 2001 as vocalist of the band Sound Schedule. The group went on hiatus from 2006 to 2010, leading Oishi to debut as a solo artist in 2008. He returned as the band's vocalist in 2011. He is also the vocalist of musical group OxT, and their music has been featured in anime series such as Overlord, Prince of Stride, Hand Shakers, and SSSS.Gridman.


To the anime community, Oishi is most popular for the songs "Kimi Ja Nakya Dame Mitai" (2014, the opening theme song of anime Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun) and "Otomodachi Film" (2018, the opening theme song of anime Tada Never Falls in Love).
