Japanese voice actor 'Atsumi Tanezaki' celebrates 31st birthday

Japanese voice actor Atsumi Tanezaki is celebrating her 31st birthday today, September 27.

Atsumi Tanezaki (種﨑 敦美) is a Japanese voice actor formerly affiliated with Toritori Office and currently represented by Haikyō. She began pursuing a career in the seiyuu industry in 2011.

Atsumi Tanezaki has a calming, whispery voice that she can easily manipulate to sound louder and fiercer; thus, allowing her flexibility when voicing female characters with different personalities. Some of her leading roles include Chise Hatori from The Ancient Magus' Bride, Lisa Mishima from Terror in Resonance, and Moe Nishinosono from The Perfect Insider. As a female seiyuu with a wider range, she has tried other challenging roles such as voicing the adorable crybaby Kazuma Mamizuka from Gakuen Babysitters as well as the mature, toughie Arisa Uotani from Fruits Basket (2019).


Currently: Tanezaki-san continues to build on her growing seiyuu career. Some of her roles for 2021 include Miki Yoshikawa from Horimiya, Mjurran from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime 2nd Season, Shiori Kanō from The Honor Student at Magic High School, and Mujika from The Promised Neverland Season 2.
