Japanese voice actor Junichi Suwabe tests positive for COVID-19

Japanese voice actor Junichi Suwabe has been diagnosed with the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after his PCR Test result came on Saturday according to Haikyo, the actor's talent agency.


He came in close contact with another person infected with the virus and has experienced itchiness on his troat prompting him for the test.

The agency stated that Suwabe is currently self-isolating and is undergoing home recovery. They added that they will do all necessary measures to identify those who came in contact with the voice actor in the previous days.


Junichi Suwabe is known to voice the anime characters Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen, Shouta Aizawa in My Hero Academia, Victor Nikiforov in Yuri!! on ICE, and many more.
