Japanese voice actor Mariya Ise is celebrating her 33rd birthday today, September 25.

Mariya Ise (伊瀬 茉莉也) is a Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator affiliated with Across Entertainment. She began her voice acting career in the early 2000s, voicing supporting characters such as Renzu Ioroi from Mushishi and Nananko Walsh from Sugar Sugar Rune.

She is an extremely versatile voice actor who has gained fame for notable roles featuring both male and female characters. With her ability to sound like anything from young to mature, boyish to feminine, serious to deranged, Mariya Ise has a rich array of roles with distinct personalities. Some of these memorable roles include Killua Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter (2011), Sawa Nakamura from The Flowers of Evil, Midari Ikishima from Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler, Reg from Made in Abyss, and Ray from The Promised Neverland.

Currently: Ise-chan (as she is called by fans) reprises her role as Ray in the second season of The Promised Neverland. Some of her other roles for 2021 include Lenessia Erhart Cowen from Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table, Ms. Inamoto from SSSS.Dynazenon, and Sayaka Minami from Megaton Musashi.
