'Jujutsu Kaisen 0' anime film reveals first trailer, VA Megumi Ogata voices Yuuta Okkotsu

The official Twitter for the TV anime adaptation of Gege Akutami's ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ manga series has revealed on Thursday the first trailer for the upcoming movie adaptation and a prequel to the anime titled "Jujutsu Kaisen 0". It was also revealed that Japanese voice actress Megumi Ogata is voicing the main protagonist Yuuta Okkotsu.
The film is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on December 24, 2021. It is based on the manga's Volume 0, Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School (Tōkyō Toritsu Jujutsu Kōtō Senmon Gakkō) or known as Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High.
MAPPA returns for the animation production and the rest of the staff and cast of the TV anime series will reprise their roles for the new project. The film is based on Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School (Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Tokyo Toritsu Jujutsu Kōtō Senmon Gakkō) manga story.

Yuuta Okkotsu is the main protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen's prequel series Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High. He was initially a special grade cursed human haunted by his late childhood friend, Rika Orimoto. Satoru Gojo mentored Yuta and enrolled him at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Yuta is currently a second-year student at Jujutsu High. He was training overseas in Africa with Miguel until after the Shibuya Incident when he returned to Tokyo. (from Fandom)
Zenin Maki is one of the main protagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen's prequel series Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Jujutsu High. Originally from the Zenin family, Maki left on her own due to being rejected for her lack of cursed energy. She studies to become a strong sorcerer despite her own family working against her. (from
