'Jujutsu Kaisen' TV anime series reveals new key visual, character visual and new cast members

The official Twitter for the TV anime adaptation of Gege Akutami's "Jujutsu Kaisen" manga series has revealed on Saturday a new key visual and character visual for the anime and has announced additional cast members voicing the new characters.


The character visual features new joining characters and its voice actors including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Mechamaru Ultimate, Rie Kugimiya as Momo Nishimiya, Satoshi Hino as Noritoshi Kamo, Yōko Hikasa as Utahime Iori, (to be completed).

Sunghoo Park (The God of High School) is directing the anime at MAPPA. Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan: Lost Girls, Banana Fish, Vinland Saga) is writing and supervising the scripts. Tadashi Hiramatsu (His and Her Circumstances, Yuri!!! on Ice, Parasyte -the maxim-) is designing the characters. Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Arisa Okehazama are composing the music.

Synopsis:

For some strange reason, Yuji Itadori, despite his insane athleticism would rather just hang out with the Occult Club. However, her soon finds out that the occult is as real as it gets when his fellow club members are attacked! Meanwhile, the mysterious Megumi Fushiguro is tracking down a special-grade cursed object, and his search leads him to Itadori...


The Jujutsu manga series was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018. The individual chapters are collected and published by Shueisha, with twelve tankōbon volumes released as of August 2020.
