'Kikon Sutētasu Dake Itadakimasu': a marriage of convenience between a lesbian and gay couple

The story of "Kikon Sutētasu Dake Itadakimasu" centers on two homosexual couples trying to find peace in their relationships against the pressures of society and finding it by taking up a fake marriage.

The manga follows the life of Riko, a lesbian who has been in a happy relationship with her partner Kurumi. After three years of harmony together, the two have no plans on ever coming out to their families. However, they are repeatedly hounded and pressured by relatives on when the two will find husbands. Living in a society that has difficulty accepting them, and in a society that puts too many expectations on women, the two try to find a way to reduce the pressure over them and still maintain their relationship.




That's when they decide to make a fake marriage to be free of the expectations around them. They find help in the form of Seiichiro and Ritsu, a gay couple who agrees with their plan. Taking on the status of "married", the two couples begin living together to maintain the image of being "married".


"Kikon Sutētasu Dake Itadakimasu" (既婚ステータスだけいただきます) is josei comedy drama is written by Ima Sazaki and Roku Takase and is currently being published under Kadokawa. The manga went on sale last Aug. 17, 2021.
