Legend of Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These is a sci-fi anime produced by Production I.G under the larger Legend of the Galactic Heroes franchise created by novelist Yoshiki Tanaka .

Die Neue These (English: The New Thesis) first aired in April 2018 as a 12-episode series (Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These - Kaikou), followed by a season 2 delivered as 3 anime films in 2019 (Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These - Seiran), a season 3 delivered as 3 anime films in early 2022 (Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These - Gekitotsu), and now a season 4, again with 3 anime films this late 2022 (Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These - Sakubou).

The series tells the tale of two interstellar states, the monarchic Galactic Empire and the democratic Free Planets Alliance, who are embroiled in a never-ending war. The story focuses on the exploits of rivals Reinhard von Lohengramm (CV: Mamoru Miyano) and Yang Wen Li (CV: Kenichi Suzumura), as they rise to power and fame in the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance, respectively.

The voice actors from the 2018 first season will reprise their roles for this fourth season/film.
