The Uta no Prince-sama multimedia franchise is getting a live animation film titled Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love ST☆RISH Tours.
It is set to premiere in Japan on Sept. 2, 2022. As with the TV anime, the film will be animated by A-1 Pictures.
The trailer below features the members of ST☆RISH drawn as anime but performing as if it were a live concert to give a realistic concert experience (hence the term "live animation").
Uta no Prince-sama (Japanese: うたの☆プリンスさまっ♪, Romaji: Uta no☆Purinsu-sama♪) is a Japanese multimedia franchise by Broccoli. The original game of the same name was first released on the PlayStation Portable on June 24, 2010, and has spawned multiple sequels, rhythm game spin-offs, manga, stage plays, and anime films.
Season 1 of the TV anime adaptation by A-1 Pictures aired in 2011, titled Uta no Prince-sama: Maji Love 1000% (うたの☆プリンスさまっ♪ マジLOVE1000%). It has spanned four seasons, with the latest being Uta no Prince-sama: Maji Love Legend Star in 2016.
