An original anime film produced by MAPPA and directed by Mari Okada titled "Arisu to Teresu no Maboroshi Koujou" has been announced to be in production. A teaser video footage of the film was presented at the end of the MAPPA Stage 2021 -10th Year Anniversary- presentation. The film is MAPPA's first original theatrical work. No other film was revealed as of writing.
The series is animated by animation studio MAPPA with Mari Okada serving as the film director. Tadashi Hiramatsu is listed as the chief director and Yuriko Ishii as the character designer as well as the animation director. Masaru Yokoyama is in charge of the music arrangement while Her Blue Sky anime film writer Mari Okada. The cast and other staff is yet to be announced.
The film is MAPPA's first original theatrical work. They've also revealed the film's key visual.
