KADOKAWA has announced on Wednesday that Keiichi Arawi's 'Nichijou' manga series will make a big comeback after 6 years with its newest chapter to be published in the December issue of their Monthly Shonen Ace releasing October 26.

The magazine comes with a Nichijou front cover to commemorate the resumption of the manga's serialization. The design uses illustrations drawn by Arawi.

The comedy manga written and illustrated by Keiichi Arawi was serialized from June 2006 to October 2015 in Kadokawa Shoten's manga magazine Shōnen Ace and was also serialized in Comptiq between the March 2007 and July 2008 issues. Kadokawa Shoten later published all chapters of the series in ten tankōbon volumes from July 2007 to December 2015.

The manga inspired a television (TV) anime adaptation by Kyoto Animation consisting of 26 episodes and an original video animation (OVA) episode. The series aired in Japan on TV Aichi from April 3 to September 25, 2011.

According to Wiki, the anime adaptation initially received reserved praise from western critics, who commended the animation quality but found it lacking in consistent humor and substance. Retrospective reviews, however, have since given the series high critical praise for its heart and surreal comedy, with one critic deeming it among the "finest anime comedies of all time".
