A second promotional video has been released for upcoming original TV anime Bucchigire! (Alternative title: Shine On! Bakumatsu Bad Boys) scheduled to air on July 8, 2022.
The anime is directed and written by Tetsuo Hirakawa (Horimiya), with character concepts by Hiroyuki Takei (Shaman King). The series is animated by Geno Studio.
The story is set during the age of samurai in Japan and tells the story of a group of criminals selected to serve as doubles for the special police force Shinsengumi. Only one of the original Shinsengumi survives, so the criminals must act as the Shinsengumi to maintain peace and order in feudal Kyoto.
The second PV introduces the show's main themes. The opening theme song is Shine the Brightest! -Bucchigire!- (一番光れ！-ブッチギレ-) by Takanori Nishikawa (T.M.Revolution), while the ending theme song is Convicted Democracy by selfish-being name-less (自象存在name-less).
