'OsaMake: Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy' TV anime series premieres April 14

The official Twitter for the TV anime adaptation of Shuichi Nimaru and Ui Shigure's "A Romantic Comedy Where the Childhood Friend Absolutely Won't Lose (Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy)" has revealed on Monday that previously announced anime series adaptation is scheduled to begin broadcasting on April 14, 2021.

Doga Kobo is handling the animation production with Takashi Naoya serving both as the series director and character designer. The series scripts are written by Yoriko Tomita. Riko Azuna will perform the series' opening theme song "Chance! & Revenge!", while Inori Minase and Ayane Sakura will perform the series' ending theme song "Senryakuteki de Yosō Funō na Love Comedy no Ending Tema Kyoku" (lit. "An Ending Theme Song for a Tactically Unpredictable Romantic Comedy").


It was announced last October 3, 2020 during the novel's Drama CD release commemorative special program that the novel will be adapted into an anime series. Watch the announcement teaser video here.



The series known as Osamake, is based on the light novel series Japanese written by Shuichi Nimaru and illustrated by Shigure Ui. The publisher ASCII Media Works has published 4 volumes since June 8, 2019 under the label Dengeki Bunko .

A manga adaptation illustrated by Ryo Ifuyu has been serialized in Media Factory's Gekkan Comic Alive since November 27, 2019.


The story follows Kuroha Shida, a high school student who is convinced that her childhood friend and next door neighbor Sueharu Maru has a crush on her. However, Kuroha's dreams are shattered when Sueharu admits she has feelings for Kachi Shirokusa, a beautiful girl who is the school idol , an accomplished writer, and a model rotogravure. Unwilling to give up her childhood sweetheart, Kuroha secretly vows revenge.
