'Pokémon Legends: Arceus' open-world action RPG video game is coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2022

The Pokémon Presents streamed by the official YouTube channel of Pokémon on Friday has announced that a new action RPG video game series is coming to the Nintendo Switch. The new game is titled "Pokémon Legends: Arceus" and will launch in early 2022. The announcement was made right after the recent Sinnoh remakes "Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond" and "Pokémon: Shining Pearl" were announced for 2021.

The game is set in the open-world feudal era of the Sinnoh region and you will start your journey in a local village as your camp. Your task is to venture out in the vast wilderness of the region to capture different species of Pokémon and complete the Sinnoh Pokédex. You can as many wild Pokémon as you can or battle with them in the world full of different variety of landscapes, biomes and terrains where those Pokémon lives depending on their habitat.


Pokémon is celebrating its month-long 25th anniversary that will commence in February 27.
